Terms of Service

• I will decline commissions I feel unable or uncomfortable to provide, be it time, skill, or content matters. Client will be notified.
• I reserve all rights to my work. I am allowed to post the work on my portfolio. Commission may be posted on my social media, please request ahead of time if commission is to be private.
• Commissions may not be used for training or fed into AI-generation databases. Commissions may not be used as an NFT. You may not use my art in any published material, even free material, on any online or physical marketplace.
• Commissions are digital commissions and will be sent typically via email unless another method is necessary.
• Communication with me will primarily be email (4happydose@gmail.com). I am also available on pillowfort, discord, and bluesky.
• Commission requests must not be requested within days of a deadline. Please allow an appropriate time for a request. before a given deadline, such as 2-5 weeks.
• Client must provide an email and preferred method of contact. Client is expected to respond in a timely manner.
• When direct line of contact is established and approval of commission begins, response time of inquiries will be within 2-3 days.
• Client may modify their commission prior to starting work. You may upgrade the commission type, include additional details and changes, or change characters entirely. Price changes will be discussed in this event.
• Client may ask for updates and progress at anytime once commission begins.
• Commissions may be livestreamed. Please let me know ahead of time if you'd prefer the commission to be private.
• Commissions are personal use (icons, banners, posting online to share, etc) only. If client want to use the commission commercially (for merchandise, sales, profit), client must disclose this before the start of the commission. Price of service will be adjusted accordingly for rights on the commission.
• Advertised prices are base prices. Price may be adjusted according to deadlines, complexity, and requests for adjustments.
• Expected delivery of commission will be provided during first contact via preferred communication method. Typical delivery time is estimated around 2-3 weeks.
• Client must provide references. Visual references are preferred (even stick figure drawings!). If unable to provide illustrated references, photobashing, mood boards, and pictures are also acceptable. Written descriptions are appreciated. The more details to work with, the better.
• Client may request revisions during the sketch phase and will be contacted frequently for approval of overall composition. Once the rendering stage begins, only a total of two (2) minor revisions will be available as adjustments in later stages are challenging to address. Please be clear about expected colors, poses, expressions, etc, prior to rendering.
• About PAYMENT:
  • An invoice via paypal will be sent to the client's email. Please do not pay in advance.
  • Client may choose to pay 50% or 100% of payment prior to start of commission.
  • Once the sketch phase is approved by client, the rest of the price must be paid in full to complete the commission.
  • For "Surprise Me" commissions, payment will be upfront prior to starting the commission.
  • All payments are final and non-refundable.

Process of Commission Guide

• Send an email titled "Commission Request" to 4happydose@gmail.com with the following details.
• Short introduction of yourself (name, etc)
• Type of Commission
• Preferred email
• Preferred method of contact: Please choose between email, discord, pillowfort, bluesky (as these are the only platforms I'm available on).
• Written description of how you picture your commission. Please describe pose, expression, overall composition, etc. Also disclose the following if relevant: keeping the commission private, I don't want the commission to be streamed, I plan to use this work commercially, and deadlines. (Only exception is "Surprise Me.")
• Provide visual references. This can include moodboards, edited photobash, and links to references online. I'll even accept stick figure drawings.
  I will reject the request if any AI pictures or references are sent.
• Copy and Paste the following: I agree to the terms of service and the process of commission provided on happydose.neocities.org/commissions.

• Please wait for 3-5 days for a reply via email. I will be inquiring further about your request with this response and discussing payment. This is the best time to modify or upgrade your commission.
• I will respond with a written acceptance of your request and estimated time the commission will be delivered. The initial invoice will be sent. You may choose to pay 50% or 100% of the agreed price of the commission.
• Within the week of the initial commission payment, sketching will begin. During this phase, I will be reaching out to you closely to verify the details of the art. Prompt responses are expected to not delay the timeline. Major revisions may be requested at this time.
• Sketch may include flat colors if art is colored.
• When the sketch is approved to move forward to the next phase, the second invoice will be sent if 50% payment still remains.
• The commission will move to the rendering phase. During this process, only two (2) minor revisions may be requested after this point. Anything more may demand extra payments.
• Please be patient. Turnaround time is expected to be 2-3 weeks for most commissions. If there is a delay, I will notify the reason for delay and new estimated time of delivery. You are free to ask for updates anytime, but please be mindful of how often you reach out. I will respond within 2-3 days by email. I am more readily available on discord but may not respond daily.
• The finished commission will be reviewed prior to sending to your email in the case for last minute minor revisions. The final work will be sent via email to the preferred email above.
• You receive your commission! Yay! Confetti!
